The Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is a 5k or 1k walk or run. Repair CafĂ©s – Volunteer FixersWe partner with the Barrie Public Library and other community organizations to host Repair CafĂ©s and we’re always looking for volunteer fixers.Fixers are people who enjoy troubleshooting and repairing household items, helping others learn basic repair and who want to reduce waste and promote reuse.Items often include basic electrical (lamps, wiring, etc. small appliances (e.g. toasters), clothing, and bikes, general repairs.The focus is on sharing skills and empowering visitors, not just fixing things for them.We do not fix electronics (cell phones, laptops, etc.)
