Victim Services of Simcoe County (VSSC) provides 24/7 crisis response, emotional support, and practical assistance to individuals and families affected by crime or tragedy. For nearly 30 years, our trained staff and volunteers have been a lifeline for victims of intimate partner violence, human trafficking, sexual assault, and other traumatic events across Simcoe County. Guided by compassion and confidentiality, we help people navigate their most difficult moments with safety, dignity, and hope. Volunteers are essential to our mission—ensuring that no one faces crisis alone. Together, we make healing and resilience possible in our community.

Children’s Treatment Network (CTN) supports approximately 39,000 kids and youth with disabilities and other developmental needs and their families. We provide intake, service navigation and coordinated service planning, assessment and diagnostic services, specialized clinics and rehabilitation services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech language therapy.

Gilda’s Club Simcoe Muskoka provides free emotional and social support programs for individuals and families affected by cancer throughout Simcoe Muskoka and surrounding communities. Our programs support not only individuals diagnosed with cancer, but also caregivers, families, and those experiencing grief or loss. Services include support groups, wellness activities, social connection opportunities, educational programming, and community events designed to ensure nobody has to navigate cancer alone. Everything we offer is provided at no cost to participants, making community support, fundraising, and volunteer involvement essential to the work we do. Beyond support services, Gilda’s Club Simcoe Muskoka is focused on creating meaningful community experiences that bring people together while increasing awareness around the growing need for accessible cancer support services across the region.

Robin Hood Army Canada (RHAC) aims to serve and empower communities-in-need, and help eradicate homelessness in Canada through empathy, teamwork and awareness. The primary role of a Robin (volunteer of RHAC) is to deliver food, clothing and hygiene items to shelters in Ajax and Oshawa, to facilitate basic life skills workshops and create awareness. Volunteers are required on ongoing basis with most drives being carried out on weekends, and can devote time as convenient to them Volunteer roles include - -Robins deliver surplus or freshly prepared food from restaurants, events and homes, to homeless people, refugee families and shelters. They also deliver clothing, hygiene items or basic life skills workshops to people-in-need. During COVID-19 all pickups and drop-offs are contactless. -As a Robin, you can help from the comfort of your home – with social media, check-in calls, metrics, partnerships, IT, research, and looking at addressing some of the root causes of homelessness in your city. There is something for everyone to do. Volunteers are required to be over the age of 18. Once the registration form is submitted, our Onboarding Team will reach out to familiarize you with the needs, risks, actions, and expectations. Quality Connections Adult Day Services provides structured daytime care and support for adults in a safe, supervised, and inclusive environment. Our organization offers social, recreational, and wellness-based programs that promote independence, skill development, and community engagement for participants, including seniors and adults with physical or developmental disabilities. Our goal is to enhance the quality of life of each individual we serve by ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being through personalized attention and professional care. Many lives have been changed and saved through the amazing dogs at COPE Service Dogs. Joe is leading an independent life with his Service Dog by his side. Stephanie has been saved from the brink of suicide, thanks to unconditional love of the dogs in COPE Service Dogs' Canines in the Classroom program. As part of March of Dimes Canada, After Stroke is a national service offering support, education and community programs for stroke survivors, their caregivers, and families.

Morton Youth Services is a community based youth detention facility that provides youth justice services to children who have found themselves in trouble with the law. Morton Youth Services operates under the direction of the Ministry of Children and Youth Services to provide 24 hour custody services in a 10-bed facility.

DeafBlind Ontario Services is a not-for-profit organization that helps individuals who are deafblind to increase their independence and improve their quality of life through specialized services. With residential locations and community services programs across the province, their reach extends into a wide range of communities in Ontario, including Barrie.
