Fire and Fun is a performance partnership striving to add artistic and social value to communities. When not preforming or running workshops, Fire and Fun is committed to helping the disadvantaged feel represented and aided with their concerns.

A Friendly Voice is a free, confidential “warm line” for older Ontarians, 55+ who just want to chat with a friendly person who cares, without expectations or judgment.

We provide students in York Region with free educational resources in a safe and supporting environment that inspires, motivates and sets the foundation for personal growth. Our programs are tailored to all ages and skill levels to meet students' needs. We offer programs to learn English, French, Mandarin and more. STEAM programs are all offered here, in a welcoming group environment to help students thrive. We’re partnering with school boards, libraries, and educational companies across York Region to provide students with access to the best programs possible, without paying a single cent. We offer a variety of classes for students, adults, and seniors.

Our volunteers come from diverse cultural backgrounds and ethnicities. YRES has many opportunities for volunteers as we are always expanding our programs. These opportunities allow you to give back to your community but also develop industry leading skills in a professional environment. YRES is a Charitable Not-for-Profit Organization that uses the help of community partners in order to carry out a variety of ever-expanding Educational Services.

Lake Simcoe Conservation Foundation (LSCF) is the leading charitable organization devoted to improving the environmental health of Lake Simcoe and its watershed. I Challenge Diabetes (ICD) was founded by Chris Jarvis, a former Canadian Olympic rower living with type 1 diabetes. During his athletic career, Chris recognized a significant lack of understanding and support for those managing type 1 diabetes. This inspired him to create I Challenge Diabetes—a charity dedicated to empowering individuals in the diabetes community with the skills, resources, and inspiration to take control of their health and live vibrant, fulfilling lives. What began as a grassroots movement has grown into a national organization, building a strong, supportive community for those affected by diabetes. Through educational programs, mentorship, and ongoing support, I Challenge Diabetes enables individuals to take charge of their health and well-being. Since 2015, ICD has proudly delivered over 1,000 programs in more than 125 cities across Canada, offering over 74,000 opportunities for mentorship, training, and empowerment.

In 1974, a group of parents determined to find cures for their children living with type 1 diabetes came together to begin what is now Breakthrough T1D, launching the largest funder and advocate for T1D research in Canada. Our focus was and remains on finding cures for type 1 diabetes (T1D); since then, the organization has helped to fund research that has led to innovation and evolution of treatments that improve the quality of life for people living with T1D.
