Description de l'opportunité
Filling backpacks with shelf stable and fresh produce so they can be delivered to a local school for kids to take home on the weekend. We use technology to ensure the right food is placed in the right backpack. The contents of each backpack is specific to a child, so attention to detail and ensuring the right food goes into the right backpack is critical to this role.
This volunteer shift is from 12:00 - 1:15 every Friday. A weekly commitment is appreciated to ensure consistency and distribution of tasks during the shift.
At our current location use of stairs is a requirement.

Kids Pantry, a program of The Pavlik Foundation, provides weekend food support for children experiencing food insecurity. In cooperation with the local school boards, we deliver backpacks of food to children in need through select schools, every Friday, 52 weeks of the year.
We are in 7 schools and feeding 100 kids each week.
To expand our program and reach more kids, we need people. Our Volunteer Teams work collaboratively to ensure food is organized, packed into backpacks and delivered to schools.
