Join Our Founding Board of Directors

BloomWell Support Services is seeking two dedicated Volunteer Board Members to help guide the development and growth of our emerging community-focused organization.

As a founding Board Member, you will work collaboratively with the Founder and fellow directors to support organizational planning, governance, and long-term sustainability. Responsibilities include participating in virtual board meetings, contributing to key organizational decisions, reviewing policies and goals, providing financial oversight, and offering guidance on community partnerships, program development, and future initiatives.

We are looking for individuals who can bring valuable ideas, professional experience, and a genuine passion for making a positive impact in the community.

This is a flexible, unpaid, remote volunteer opportunity that allows members to contribute according to their availability while maintaining their commitment to scheduled board meetings and shared governance responsibilities.

This is an opportunity to play a meaningful role in shaping BloomWell Support Services from the ground up while supporting programs that empower youth, adults, and seniors.

BloomWell Support Services is an emerging community-focused organization dedicated to empowering youth, adults, and seniors through educational workshops, practical life skills, employment support, wellness initiatives, and individualized services.

Serving Simcoe County and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), BloomWell aims to provide accessible programs that help individuals build confidence, develop independence, navigate everyday challenges, and improve their overall well-being.

Our goal is to collaborate with community organizations, schools, employment centres, shelters, libraries, senior centres, and other agencies to deliver meaningful programs that respond to the needs of the communities they serve.

Our Programs and Services

Youth Development Programs (Ages 13–18)

Our youth programs help young people prepare for adulthood by developing essential personal, financial, and employment skills.

Workshops include:

• First-job preparation and resume writing
• Job searching and interview skills
• Financial literacy, budgeting, and credit awareness
• Mental wellness and stress management
• Housing awareness and independent living skills
• Confidence building, goal setting, and life skills
• Navigating community resources and support systems

Adult Empowerment & Life Skills Programs (Ages 18–55)

Our adult programs focus on employment readiness, financial stability, personal growth, and navigating everyday responsibilities.

Workshops include:

• Resume and cover letter development
• Job searching strategies and interview preparation
• Career planning and professional development
• LinkedIn profile development
• AI and digital literacy for employment
• Budgeting, credit education, and financial wellness
• Housing navigation and rental application preparation
• Stress management and personal development
• Accessing community assistance and support services

Senior Wellness & Social Engagement Programs (Ages 55+)

Our senior programs encourage meaningful social connections, lifelong learning, creativity, and emotional well-being.

Programs include:

• Painting, arts, crafts, and creative workshops
• Social gatherings and group activities
• Wellness, mindfulness, and relaxation workshops
• Technology education and digital literacy
• AI tutoring and basic technology assistance
• Community resource education
• Programs designed to reduce social isolation

Individual Support Services

In addition to group workshops, BloomWell is developing personalized one-on-one services tailored to individual needs.

Services include:

• Resume and cover letter writing assistance
• Mock interviews and interview coaching
• LinkedIn profile reviews and improvements
• AI-assisted job searching and digital skills coaching
• Employment readiness and career development
• Housing navigation consultations
• Senior wellness check-ins
• Technology and AI tutoring for seniors

Workshops for Community Organizations

BloomWell aims to partner with shelters, employment centres, schools, libraries, group homes, community agencies, and senior organizations to provide educational workshops tailored to their clients.

Our three primary workshop categories are:

Employment & Career Development: Resume writing, job search strategies, interview confidence, workplace readiness, and AI tools for employment.

Housing & Financial Education: Budgeting, understanding credit, managing household expenses, rental applications, affordable housing awareness, and navigating housing resources.

Wellness & Personal Development: Stress and anxiety management, building self-confidence, healthy coping strategies, personal growth, and navigating life’s challenges.
