Be a voice for exceptional students in your community! We are looking for 2 organized and motivated representatives to advocate for students with learning disabilities within the Simcoe-Muskoka Catholic District School Board. The Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) plays a vital role in ensuring that exceptional pupils receive appropriate educational services. SEAC is responsible for making recommendations to the Board with respect to any matter affecting the establishment and development of special education programs and services for exceptional students of the Board. Meetings are monthly, and they are held at the Board office (46 Alliance Blvd, Barrie) or virtually. Meetings are approximately 1 hour and are held September to June. This role also requires quarterly meetings with organization representatives. Please inquire for a full description of the role. LDAYS is committed to diversity, equity and inclusion.
