Often homeless and helpless, with so many doors closed to them.  There is one Door that is open, that welcomes them and feeds them hope. That is the De Mazenod Door, an Outreach program that provides food for the hungry and drink for the thirsty, 365 days a year. Through loving compassion and faith in action, De Mazenod Door Outreach serves to improve and empower the lives of the poor and marginalized in Hamilton. By providing food, housing, education, social supports and life skills development, we foster dignity, personal growth and hope for a better future. We work to provide a safe, inclusive environment for our guests, staff, volunteers, community partners and supporters, instilling a sense of community and belonging, where all are welcome and valued, and no one is turned away. Embracing Our Community Guests coming to the De Mazenod Door are treated with dignity and respect.  It is our goal that every single visitor to our door walks away with a true sense of community and a hot meal. We are a national not-for-profit corporation and one of the world’s top three charitable organizations committed to improving and lengthening the lives of people living with cystic fibrosis. We will help all people living with cystic fibrosis by funding targeted world-class research, supporting and advocating for high-quality individualized cystic fibrosis care and raising and allocating funds for these purposes.

Crohn’s and Colitis Canada is the only national, volunteer-based charity focused on finding the cures for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and improving the lives of children and adults affected by these diseases.  We are one of the top two health charity funders of Crohn’s and colitis research in the world, investing $122 million in research since 1974, leading to important breakthroughs in genetics, gut microbes, inflammation and cell repair as well as laying the groundwork for new and better treatments. We are transforming the lives of people affected by Crohn’s and colitis (the two main forms of inflammatory bowel disease) through research, patient programs, advocacy, and awareness. Our Crohn’s & Colitis – Make it stop. For life. Campaign has already achieved $70 million (or 70%) of its goal, and funds raised are already advancing our mission.

Established in 1980, Concerned Friends, a registered charity has been active across Ontario communities for over 40 years. Representing a vibrant and growing community we are committed to our mission: to advance the health and well-being and enrich the experiences of those living in long-term care homes across Ontario.

CWC is in phase 2 becoming an accredited member agency of Independent Living Canada. An organization run by peole with disabilities for people with disabilities. Our current programs and services include: 1. FREE Income Tax Program all year round, a partnership with Canada Revenue Agency. We provide tax services going back 10 years to current. 2. The StopGap Barrie Community Ramp Project, providing deployable ramps to businesses and organizations who are not accessible to people in wheelchairs, walkers, strollers or delivery people. 3. Our Guided Water-Colour Art Classes will be resuming shortly. 4. Our Peer to Peer Support group will be resuming shortly. 5. Our Host Organization - Creating Connection,  offers an array of Community Programs and Services.

We are a Registered Charity, who own 73 acres of beautiful forest in the Midhurst area.  We have been working for almost two years to open a youth/seniors/family campground on the property which features six themed campsites.  Kanata, which has five teepees, Georgian which his five military garrisons, Prospector with five Yukon cabins, Adirondack which has five trapper shanties, Pioneer with five covered wagons, and Wendake with three magnificent longhouses.  We also have a site for ordinary tent camping, or overflow, and a renovated school portable which contains fridges, stove, an office, and is the camp Emergency Shelter and first aid headquarters.  There is a landline phone, wifi, a computer and heat/air conditioning in this building.  Our purpose is to celebrate Canada's rich cultural heritage, and our beautiful natural environment.  We aim to teach respect for all things living green, and for nature all around us.  Teaching respect for the past and the present will naturally carry forward in the minds of our guests to make great citizens of our communities in the future.

Children’s Treatment Network (CTN) supports approximately 39,000 kids and youth with disabilities and other developmental needs and their families. We provide intake, service navigation and coordinated service planning, assessment and diagnostic services, specialized clinics and rehabilitation services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech language therapy.

CTN supports over 26,000 kids and youth with disabilities and developmental needs. Through 110,000+ service visits per year, we provide intake, service navigation and coordinated service planning, assessment and diagnostic services, specialized clinics and rehabilitation services, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech language therapy. Our support reaches kids and youth in their homes, communities and schools, from birth up until their 19th birthday (or until completion of high school) through our network model of service delivery. Through the collective efforts of community partners, we provide and enhance services, champion system change and build capacity primarily in York Region and Simcoe County, as well as Central and West Toronto, Dufferin, Halton, Peel, Waterloo and Wellington. We also support families by connecting them with other community agencies who provide additional resources and programs outside of our partnerships. Our network model engages families at all levels within the organization, allowing us to provide coordinated services. CTN and the services provided by our network partners are funded by Ontario’s Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS) and are free for families. However, there may be costs associated with provision of special equipment, materials or supplies needed by some kids and youth. CTN is accredited through CARF International, meeting internationally recognized organizational and program standards and signaling its commitment to quality by continually improving services, encouraging feedback and serving the community.

COPE Service Dogs is unleashing potential in youth, seniors and people living with disabilities. We train and provide placement of skilled service dogs for people living with mobility issues and for certified facility dogs who provide support in a variety of life changing facilities.
