• Appropriate for volunteers aged between 18 and 55
• Appropriate for volunteers aged 55 and over

POSITION Relay For Life Event Day Volunteers   WHY WE NEED YOU   Relay For Life Event Day Volunteers are an important part of the success of this event. Whether you will be helping with site set up/tear down, greeting participants, selling/decorating luminaries, photography or tallying donations, there is a volunteer position for you!   WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING Attend a location during your agreed shift Variety of duties/tasks that could include: Greet and engage participants during registration and activities General accounting Set up/tear down of tents, tables/chairs, banners Waste management Selling and/or decorating Luminaries   TO ENSURE YOUR SAFETY, ALL PUBLIC HEALTH GUIDELINES AND RECOMMENDATIONS WILL BE OBSERVED   WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Great energy and enthusiasm Team-oriented and community-minded Communicative and works well in public environments Passionate and eager to make a significant impact Some roles might require good physical health (i.e. lifting heavy weights)   WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU A fun way to make a difference in your community/neighbourhood Direct connection to our mission, vision and values Play an important role in supporting, remembering and honouring those we love who have received a cancer diagnosis   YOUR COMMITMENT  Availability on day of the event – June 11th (once registered, someone from the event committee will be in contact to confirm shift and role) Shift commitment between 2-6 hours https://cancer.ca/en/get-involved/volunteer/ways-to-volunteer We welcome people of all backgrounds, abilities and interests.
