Canadian Red Cross (Transportation Volunteer)

• Background/police check required
• Appropriate for volunteers aged between 18 and 55
• Appropriate for volunteers aged 55 and over
• Training or orientation required

As a volunteer in this role, you will:  Drive clients to designated destinations. Assist clients to and from vehicle. Work with Program Coordinator to ensure that the exterior and interior of vehicles are clean and safe. Abide by all policies, procedures and practices including but not limited to vehicle circle checks, mileage and route documentation. Report any concerns of clients with deteriorating health and/or other needs to the Program Coordinator. Complete all required training and attend on-going additional training sessions as needed. Report to the Transportation Coordinator for all scheduling and availability.
